Informacje o zabiegu

Hallux rigidus plasticity is performed when non-invasive treatment did not bring the desired results or when destruction of the joint on X-ray was shown. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. This means that the patient is conscious during the procedure, only the space of surgery is anaesthetized. An individual approach to the patient of experienced surgeon’s staff enables selection of the most advantageous and least invasive surgical technique. This allows patients to recover quickly and efficiently. Early detection of the disease makes it possible to perform cheliectomy – procedure involving removal of osteophytes preventing correct finger movement. More advanced changes support arthrodeosis, considered to be the gold standard for the treatment of stiff toe. The aim of this treatment is to stabilize the metatarsal and spherical joint with high quality plates, wires, screws, etc. The well performed operation of hallux rigidus prevents further deformations of the joint. The price of procedure depends on the deformation degree and the extent of procedure.
