Nasal turbinate are even structures in the nasal cavity. Their size and shape can decide on the freedom of breathing. Oversized turbinate may disturb the breath through the nose and cause chronic rhinitis and sinuses. Large masses of sprouted tissues located near ostiomeatal complex obstruct free drainage of maxillary, nasal and frontal sinuses. In the sinus cavity, secretion begins to accumulate, which gives symptoms of inflammation. In this case, symptomatic and causal treatment is necessary. The symptoms disappear when we clear ostiomeatal complex. Modern FESS technology is used for this purpose. It is an endoscopic technique, consisting in the insertion of a thin, flexible tube into the nasal cavity. Endoscope is finished with a camera, so that the doctor can accurately assess the interior of nose. Then micro-tools are inserted and in an atroumatic way (i.e. as little invasive as possible) clears sinuses. At the same time, during the procedure, the surgeon supplies nasal turbinate, which hypertrophy was the cause of chronic sinusitis. Thanks to the use of modern methods, the patient is exposed to slightest possible injury, and the wounds after surgery heal quickly. It is also important that all cuts are made inside the nasal cavity, so that after the treatment there is no visible scar on the face. Great cosmetic effect and quick recovery is the most common result of these treatments.
